Does anyone know if you can get a driver's door window weather shield for a D2? I want a full size one, not the tiny geniune LR ones that they sell for $600 for a set of four!

Thanks

Well I know they are available cos I have had a driver and passenger one fitted at Discovery Automotive - not much help to you I know, in NSW, but at least you know they exist...apprx $70 each from (sketchy) memory...

Someone will source them for you!

Gday Chris, is this the size you refer to as small? These are genuine LR ones and I think if they were any bigger it would cause dramas.

I dont get these things... Do you guys drive around with the window down alot and they are to deflect the wind? Then why drive around with the window down?

LR sell both of these, the "Slimline" variants in a set of 4 from the UK
As well as the larger variants, a singular purchase item from a dealer.
The Australian sourced units are a RAA??? part number as the UK variants will be VUB?????? something or other.
MLR retail dealer price is $65.00 ea.

Strange Rover1, yes that is the type I am after. When we bought our Disco 4 years ago (in Bunbury WA) the dealer said the full type was not available and tried to flog us the slimline version at a horrendus price.

Thanks to the others for indication of availability and price. Will check with LR, only prob being the nearest dealer is 250km away:twisted:

To McDisco, I find a weather shield great for getting good ventilation through the car without having to resort to AC etc. With the Classic RR that I have with one, I can cruise at 100km/h with the drivers window fully down with no wind buffetting, still be able to carry out a conversation inside, but still get some fresh air and not feel that you are sitting inside a glass cocoon...:)

Chris,
The following is the part numbers you will need: RAA 503 RH and RAA 504 LH.
I like the bigger weather shields so in winter when its pouring rain and someone lets flossy off the string in the car you can wind the window down a fair way to let the gasses out without getting wet!!:p
