My 110 County has a bull bar fitted - it was there when I bought it. I want to replace it with a standard bumper bar.

I believe that bumper bars stayed basically the same from the Series II/IIA/III through to the 90/110 models, including the first Defenders. Is this correct?

Also, does anyone in Brisbane have a bumper bar they are looking to part with?

Dave ,
Im looking for a bullbar for my 110 county. Does yours have the a/c extended nose like TD5.
Where are you located.Early 110's had the same bar as series 3, so should be ok.

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

Mine does have the extended air con nose, although I have taken all the non-functioning air con bits out. I am located on Brisbane's northside. Where are you?

Cheers,
Dave

G'day All, Series Land Rover front bumper bars will not fit any 110 regardless, they might look similar but thats where it ends, the front of the chassis is very different, cheers Dennis:wasntme:

Muddy, I do have the brackets but plan to use them to run a belt driven compressor. I'm guessing you want to do the same thing.

Dinty, thanks for that. Might have saved me an embarassing mistake!

Not in Brisbane, however Hilton Pollard at Colo Heights NSW had a number of new Defender bumpers recently. The main difference is that the Defender bar is painted while the County one galvanised. It is possible to get one stripped, hot dipped galvanised and centrifuged.

Contact Master Chief (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members/master%2Bchief.html) if interested.

That is odd, because a Defender front bumper pretty much bolted straight on to the front of one of my IIa's.
