A bit more info would help too...

What age?
What engine?

As for common/known problem, nope, not a common one.

The only couple of things I can think of on the engine itself would be a welsh plug, if these engines have them. These can corode, move or crack. Have had to do a few on Holden V8s. It may be possible that these engines have bypass hoses or similar and could be leakeing at the connections.

Gday,

I cant remember if it affects 2001s, but the coolant reseviour and cap almost always leak untill the updated one is installed.

Also, some people have had issues with the heater unit in the cabin, it might be worth checking that also.

Where is the coolant leaking from ? pics would be useful...

Cheers!

HAHAHAH I have found noone in bris thats good. Austral were good when i hit em with an electrical fault they couldnt find, but usually charge a bucket. I just use my local (was local) mechanic. He knows cars and 4wds well. Most places really dont know rovers though. I have had problems with rover care since it changed hands years ago.
