How many members do we have around for the long weekend and how many are keen for a run out for a couple of hours. Please let me know and will then arrange for a social trip out around the coast.

I would have been in it but have organised a Mt Mee trip on Sunday as nothing else seemed to be happening. I know it's a bit of a haul from the GC to Dayboro but all are welcome.

Well, we have yet to tackle the top section of the creek run, I think it is called the bum crack...........stikman and I were about to try it during our wet day out, but the ground was too soft that day. I'm keen to give it a crack.....no pun intented:D

Should be able to drive the bum crack :)

Justin - might i suggest you re-erect the old 6ft coffin drop/ledge at ormeau, could easily spend two hours clearing and winchin to get to the top

I think I will be too plastered on sat to do anything, and sunday I am ment to be camping on south straddie for, you guess it, another bday

I have since found out that the bottom half we have done is called the Tea Cup....... :o Top section we have not done is the Bum Crack :)

Should be able to make it any of the days.

Mate and I are going up to Double Is. point for the day on Saturday to see if there any beach left  and do a few of the inlan tracks as well (been a few years since we've been up that way.

Rest of the weekend will be spent rectifying a few roadworthy items on project tight **** and ready to go next week sometime. If on a Sunday I could possibly come out for a Ormeau run of sorts.

Okay Gents

This is looking good to do Orm's and give the creek runs a crack- will let stickman and Mickg run this as they know the area better than I do. So its now down to time and date - I would suggest we do Saturday Morning for the most of us. By the sounds of it we will be looking at some G4 or at least winching arears.

So I suggest - Saturday 8:00am
Stickman - TL
MickG - Tail end

I could be up for this (after dropping out of the other trip due to a duff shock) as I live in Ormeau so would be very local...(when I break it)

Saturday and Monday both fine

Apart from Stevo and Wazza everyone else seems to be a goer for Saturday.

Although would have been fun to winch - 1 black D3 HSE over the bum crack rocks :o:p;):D:D:D.

Also not sure how fit Wazza would be a a winch **tch after watching him play indoor football.:p.

Unless i get more numbers requesting Monday we will leave this trio for Saturday.

Best entrance is off Ormeau Road as this is close to the beginning of the creek run. I would suggest though that once up the first section of the creek run, just before the bum crack, that we split into 2 groups - there is an easy access track between the 2 which leads to the main track again.

Having not driven the bum crack before and having seen some pretty full on pics, I would suggest this, one way in and one way out section, is for locked cars only. We can all meet up again at the top or at the next play area?

No point damaging cars for the sake of it but as you called the trip Bolts, it's your call......don't want to pee on anyone's bonfire;):D

Looking forward to seeing how it has changed since we were last in though as even the Tea Cup on the first creek section caused stikman and I some dramas........well, we couldn't drive it due to too much water and gauging of the creek bed:eek::D

Sat AM should be OK. I will need to be back after lunch though. Happy to assist with the trip and will lead if required. We can work this out on the day based on who turns up and which tracks we are tackling. We can also look at groupings on the day. We can arrange a north and south meeting so people heading from the north (or ormeau locals) dont have to drive all the way down to coomera.

If you mean Exit 45 i think that is the Peachy Rd exit which is one north of the one we will take from the south. We then head out Upper Ormeau Rd. If we have a few coming down from the North i will meet yourself and any others at the new Service Station on Peachy Rd. Mick can meet the others at Coomera.

OK all, 8am departures from the two meeting points (BP Coomera and Peachy Rd Service Station). We will then meet up and air down. Anyone that is late can meet us in there, entering via Upper Ormeau Rd. My number is 0414744744 and initially we will be on UHF Channel 18. See you all in the morning.
