Hey All,

I am having a cow slaughtered next week and have a quarter of a cow to go. Includes rump, tbones, ybones, mince, sausages, roast etc. Have had the meat before, good quality, lasts for ages, works out at around $4-5 a kilo for all those cuts. So far myself for a quarter, Louis and Josh, sharing a quarter, my brother a quarter, need one more. Cost is $200. Fill up the tucker box, questions or queries, please let me know. Have to know by tomorrow. All meat will be need to be collected from my house,

Stevo

So this thread isn't about a run-in with a cow and how much of the vehicle is left?

Disco2 Done, ok I am going to order it today, plus I'll get exact cost per quarter, it should be around $200. Once I have it, we will split it up ready for collection, so that way the cow is spread evenly. And yes Josh, a bbq just maybe on the cards, maybe even a bbq/pool day, especially since we have now moved in. Will keep you posted on when it will be ready for pick up,

A quick update, firstly the meat is coming, but our steak on legs is still out chomping on grass at the moment. There has been a hiccup in paperwork or something as there is about 16 going to the abbotoirs, and that is being sorted out, so will keep you posted for those getting the meat,

This thread should have a Warning Notice that it may offend some readers - aka - when Aboriginal and Torres Str Islanders are warned that there may be images of the deceased......

What would our new owners from India think reading all this about eating their sacred animal????? or our tree hugging vegetarian members.....

we didn't ask or tell you to read it.

like if you see topless women on the beach, and don't like it, don't go there.
the thread title should give it away if it hurts you.

Well the moo moo was :rocket: today and will be ready in time for collection for Thursday's meeting. There is over 200 kilo's of meat, which will be butchered into 4 quarters. Costs are as follows:

Moo Cow: $670 normally would have been $740
Butchering:$335.00

Total: $1005.00

Was a bit more mainly cause there was more moo moo :D, so per quarter is $251.25, but for simplicity will make it $250 and I will make up the difference. For roasts, steaks, mince, sausages etc works out at around $4.60 per kilo. Also note, I will require $$ before Thursday, if it is easier to Direct Credit into my account, let me know and I will PM the details, to ensure the funds go through, most likely would need to be done tomorrow/ Wednesday at latest due to differences between banks. Otherwise if you are around let me know and you can drop off cash,

Sharlea's just informed me that aside from being dozy, that the meat is fresh, so collecting it and leaving in a car at our 4WD meeting, may not be the best idea. Therefore once I have collected the meat and it is ready for collection, will give you a call and you can organise a time to pick it up as I cannot store over $200 kilo's of meat. Im sure we will work out the semantics

I've loaded most of mine in the chest freezer but kept out the chuck steaks for Sapphy to have for dinner and half the sausages for sunday bbq. Oh and have 4 big bags of bones so guess i'll throw 3 in the freezer and share the rest :D

Cheers for organising Stevo... a brilliant deal ;)

Stevo,

We had our fist taste on Friday night and the steaks just melted in the mouth, and that's no bull (Pun intended).

Just absolutely delicious.

Thanks very much, your efforts are very much appreciated.

Cheers
