Can we fit a Hayman Reese Weight Distibuting Hitch to a Discovery 3 SE? I am getting mixed messages and am confused as to whether it is OK or safe. We tow a 20ft 3 tonne gross caravan.

I recently came across a towing test that included the D3 on which such a hitch was used. I think it may have been the Overlander forum. Anyway, the chains needed some early adjustment to stop the D3's suspension going a bit crazy, but once adjusted it was reported to tow very well.

If you are running SLS (airbags), LR state that you should NOT use load levellers, that function will be accommodated by the SLs (provided you don't exceed the max towball load).
If you have coils on your D3, like mine does, go for it.
