Just home from drooling over a new Defender plus the Disco & RRS at the show. Sadly the 110 on display must be the Friday car for the assembly week. The front bonnet wouldn't close, the rear door wouldn't open without a hefty tug, the offside rear door handle was falling off, the door lock wouldn't work on that side either. OK so show cars lead a hard life but you'd hope that it might survive a little longer than day three of the show. Sadly alot of folk around weren't as understanding of these "Character Issues"

Sales assistant wasn't interested - 6 month waiting list, we don't have to sell them etc. - however he was more interested in trying to flog me a show special for a Disco.

Sounds like a normal defender to me :D :D

The sad thing is that it hadn't been checked properly before going on display. A number of the makes have specially prepared show cars..but LR is at the other extreme. :(

when i was doing the bump in (putting up the pretty screens at the entrances among other stuff) some goofs in suits were taking spanners to the deefer (didnt have time to see exactly what they were doing.)

and an idiot kid was trying to bend the bonnet sat morning when i was leaving.
