Hi WAULROIANS!
A friend of mine needs to sell a 4x4 very quickly before she leaves Perth. 1990 Terrano TD.
Anyone know a dealer who may be interested in an import of that age and willing to pay a reasonable price?
Or other options?

I'm suspect that a dealer would use the excuse of it being an import to offer you bugger all :(

Why not advertise it privately and when it sells you send her the money?
That would get the most $ but a PITA for you.

if the owner has a week or 2 a car like that put on carsales.com.au would probably sell pretty quickly as long as the owner was not trying to get an exorbitant amount for it. People are quite interested in that sort of model.

Thanks guys,
Yes I suspected as much - she still seems keen to try though. It went in the Quokka today, and I will encourage her to put it on carsales...

Post the specs and advert here as well as a contact number... At Alcoa here at work, we have a 'Readers Mart' which reaches about 2000 employees/contractors.
Can advertise it there for you if you like.

Ben, why does it need an immobiliser for WA rego?
As a Vic resident I'm just interested.
Cheers,
Fraser

WA has/had the highest vehicle theft rate in WA. So initially they offered a rebate for immobiliser fitment, then made it mandatory for all vehicles 25yo or younger to be fitted with an immobiliser (when they change hands).
I got caught out with that rule when I took my 110 over the pits to get it registered in WA.
