Headlining minor improvement

Hi All,

Both me Rangies have had the roof lining sag but LR seemed to get it right in the D2 because that was pretty good although maybe I did not own it long enough.

Anyway, my P38 had 2 blanks where the handle should go above the drivers door. Whenever I drove along with the window down these would jump out at me due to the billowing headlining. Very funny.

Went to the wrecker and bought another handle for $20. Holds my roof up a little better and no flying plastic bits when the window is down.

I haven't come across a P38 with a sagging headlining before.
Lots of Classics & Disco1s though.
Lots of cars with aftermarket sunroofs suffer too.

After having the problem with an older classic and solving it with failed glue, tacks, etc. The only solution was a fibreglass version. Permant.
With my P38, I bought it with a sagging roof (good bargaining point!). Went straight to the upholstery bloke, it only cost just over 200 bucks and he replaced all of the material on the headlining and all of the pillars. It is now as good, if not better than new. And the colours available were either the same as standard, or varying shades either side. So if you want a custom interior and no fuss, it is the easiest and best option.
