ok guys we're looking at about 10 days to enjoy the sights and I've searched everywhere for info. We are very self sufficient, so need to know camp sites etc, pref near the water. Leaving sometime within the next 2-3 weeks
Any help would be much appreciated

I'm not the authoritative source of information.
I stayed at Mallacoota over NYE. Beautiful place. Half the town is for sale..??..
Go to shipwreck cove, take mozzie guard.
Go to Gypsy Point, there is a boat cruise up the Genoa river, including afternoon tea / coffee and drinks. I can't recommend it highly enough. Kangaroos roam free around Gypsy point, so watch the kids.

I detoured down to Croajingalong last Feb on our way back from Narooma to recce the area for future camping trips.
The camp sites seemed very congested, regulated and mosquito infested.
I was dissappointd that the road that led to the light house was closed 5km before the lighthouse, forcing everyone to walk. There was no info about this on the web site, and with my wife being pregnant at the time, we opted not to walk, which disappointed the kids who were looking forward to the lighthouse.
Mallacoota and the areas along there looked nice though.
