ok guys,
Started the new draws this arvo and heres a sneeek peek, but l will keep this thread as a step by step of the rest of the build

the frame is made totally of recycled box steal 20mmx20mm at a cost of $0

OK we move on.
whacked in some roller bearings from the US cost a mer $2.99 us.

now we have a rolling base for the draw, made from construction marine ply cost $0 acquired off a building site by a freind :D

OK we then painted (Paint $5.00) and sealed all the wields, then riveted ($5.00 ) some masonite sides cost for masonite ($0 )acquired off a furniture company out of there scrap pile :D

nice finish on the sides yhea. l then added a plate (cost $0 from an old sign from work :D) to give a little strength to the side I'm going to attach the jack bracket plate to

l then added a nice (womboo l think they call it) ply top ($0 from a freinds shed), the frame and top turned out strong enough to hold both my bro and l sitting on top, at a total of about 200kg's I'm pretty impressed with the result thus far

Thanks for posting this stuff on here. I'm thinking of making something similar for the back of my 110.

Hey guys, omg sorry and lady's,
finally, ...after all this time....found some time between all the family , work and uni commitments to finish the main unit of my cargo draws....jjjsss time fly's.

ok ! so we needed a front on the draw... some more of the same marine ply acquired from the building site was at hand...some corner brackets from bunnings $10.00...and one straight 90 angle bracket for the middle for strength $0 form the bro's odd box

we then cut the hole for the front lockable latch s/s from a good friend in the buis..:D $0

with the latch in place it was time to clean it up and add the some smick marine carpet "Black" from bunnings $35.00 ..we used silicon to bed down the carpet water to water prof the draws a little...:)

with the carpet on and trimmed we then inserted and riveted in the latch and cave it some thing to lock in to ...

we then needed to trim with some alloy edging $20.00 ..just to toughen the edges of the front and back draw edge the and around the draw face its self

ok...so l had to get the little bro to get under the truck, to bolt down the draws through the exsisting bolt down threads...with some high tensil bolts $3.00 each x 2

the next step step is to complete the install of flaps on both sides of the draws and there will be front inserts to cover the fronts as well :D

Did you use the two existing tie down point holes/nuts?
Do you remember the size/thread of the bolts you used in them?

yes we did..but cant remember the size but will go down tomorrow and find out for you if you like ....we use a 70ml bolt that was the same thread and we also added a nut and Lock washer on the underside as well

ok guys..with the side flaps and fronts in place my job is done and a couldn't be more chuffed ...:D
now at a total cost including hinges of $90.00 big ones..:omy god

OK now l have a hole in he rear door where the bass speakers were......if anyone has a plane tan rear door skin and want to swap for one with the two speakers in the door ...lm happy to do a clean swap for it:D

thanks mate I'm still quit chuffed with them:D....no they first they didn't as Ive got box's in them that hold it all together...but since then Ive added some angel runs along the side to stop the box's catching the front as you slid them out work really well and had a few really good runs worth them and still as solid as ever

just a little addition to the rear cargo area ...after the purchase of the new Engel i needed some new 12v plugs to the rear total cost of $20 they look like OE imho...very chuffed

nice job.....well done....my draws and cargo barrier came out today after 5 years of being a 2 seat disco.....now back to a 7 seat.....touring is over for her but looks like touring is just starting for yours:D enjoy!!!!

im sure there is enough infident wisdom out there to help me with a little delema ....
dual battery is coming together and 12V lugs are in place in the rear cargo area ...l don't want to run several different line tot he battery in the engine bay so I'm looking at setting up a fuse bank in the rear cargo area not only for the 12v plug but also for any future line/plug/lights etc in the future ......im sure plenty have done this so id like to pick the wealth of knowledge in placement/type of fuse bank etc ...interested

I just run a thick battery cable from the aux battery to the back and connected it to this: Jaycar CAT. NO. HC4020
Then from this distribution box to a simple fuse bank (also from Jaycar) and attached the various accessories to it.

What Mulgo said...plus you will also need a fuseble link or a fuse greater then the total of the back fuse bank at the battery this is to protect the cable in case of breakage which may cause a fire because you my get a dead short
