Maybe I've discovered something unusual about a certain LR model. Kat and I were on the way home from grocery shopping tonight - we were driving one of these...

and guess what? I saw a Defender! And I forgot to...

:arms::arms::arms: !!!

Are these Freelanders jinxed? I always wave :p:p:p

Disco owners cock their heads in a confused manner like dogs do when I wave to them.

Un-freakin-believable.

Nah - just getting a few little items seen to on Grover - so Austral gave me the FL2 (200km's on the clock). :)

It's pretty weird after stepping out of the bigD! - in a good way. :D

Excellent - y'know they (loan cars that is) go faster in every gear, especially reverse. And speed bumps become launching ramps... give it hell!

As an owner of an 1984/85 Range Rover I just flash my head lights at any other classic RR. But do not flash LR series, defenders or discoveries, but would wave back or flash headlights if they waved at me. I think by acknowleding them this way, at least if they do not realising I am aknowledging other RR's they will possibly think I am warning them of police or road hazard ahead. If parked near a RR, some series or defender I will often go over to say hello to owner and look over the outside of their car, Will always look at a forward control, but do not see these often.

I can sympathise with you, I drive a Disco (wave), tow a caravan (wave), spent 21 years driving heavies (wave), and sometimes I have to use the wave hand to indicate, or some other minor detail and I forget, and miss a potential wave target. I wish they would bring back those little plastic waving hands on springs and suction caps!!

:D:D:D And these should be a free issue to those members found not waiving at fellow LR drivers! :p

I think Solmanic has "Loan cars" mixed up with "Company cars".

I sometimes wave at Landy's when we're in our other car, a Camry. The missus usually looks at me like I'm an idiot and shrinks down into her seat in embarrassment - I think that's why I do it :D

The other day I waved from my RR Classic to a Series, and got a wave back. Now that is LR cameraderie !!!!

I wave all LRs now. But very disapointed on my recent trip over 2500k 6 fenders no returns. More disco returns and a couple of nice girls in a laser.

I find that (when I am driving the IIA or county):

Series and Defender owners mostly wave
D1 and D2 owners sometimes wave
D3 and Rangie owners almost never wave
Freeloader? what is that? :p:D

Since moving to WA I have found that not as many LR owners wave as on the east coast.

Would have to agree with that. I see more Landrovers around Kalgoorlie than just about anywhere else I've driven. In Kalgoorlie - NOBODY waves.

I bought a Prado for my lady about 3 years ago for some reason she thought that is would be better than a new disco (she now agrees she was wrong)

I forget that I'm in a toyota when I'm driving it and wave to all landies, geez I get some funny looks then I remember what I'm driving and have a hell of a laugh.
