Non-LR Question

Although non-LR related I thought that someone here may be able to help...& this forum is so much better than the others :).My dad has a new D4D Prado (nice rig) & is looking at a bar for the front. I suggested the sahara bar as he doesn't want the full bull bar. Rang ARB & they want about $2k, more if he wants it color-coded :eek:. Are there any other alternatives in this style bar without the crazy price tag? Thanks for the help.

An ex-Playdo owner told me that when he had an ARB bar on his Playdo, it cracked the wheel arches. Toymotor didn't cover it under warranty as the ARB bar was too stiff for the Playdo. He did notice that on corrugations the bar moved independently of the bonnet line. Apparently the Playdo utilizes chassis flexion as a part of its suspension geometry (or he was told something like that). Better to get the Toymotor bar for it, as its prone to damage with other stuff.
