Well after, what seems like a year, when it was actually only a week i get my car back from bruce davis in a few hours, with not only a new injector pump, but also a tweeked one. Not having driven a tweeked tdi before i am not quite sure what to expect, but if its better than what i was it will be a good thing i suppose.
My question is, is it actully possible to miss your car like you would a person? I have been driving mum and dads second car (a late model corrola) to and from work all week (since last monday) and i must say i cant wait to get my car back.

very possible :P
i drove a brand new xr6 sedan 1000k on friday and i was oh so glad to get back into my defender on saturday. anyone that thinks the ergonomics of a defender are off, best not try a falcon... my back is still aching...
nice vehicle otherwise i should add.. only had 7500klms on the clock and i got 9.5l/100k which i was impressed with. wasnt as nice a ride as a 380 mitsubishi i used last time i did the run, imho

Yeah, I miss mine when I've had to go to Perth and hired a car.
You don't realise how flimsy some cars are until you've drive a Land Rover!

I drive a jap car 5 days a week, and the indicators are always on the wrong side..:p
We want to do some touring so are looking for an oiler, but everytime I open up that little V8 I shed a little tear... I'm really gonna miss it:(

Agree with you
My boss has a falcon Xr6 Turbo which has been played with. He thinks it is the dogs. I just think it is a pile of crap. Drive is terrible and it is very slow for a V6 turbo. He thinks it is fast but my brother had a Renault 21 turbo which was a straight 4 pot 2 ltr which could **** all over it . After i i think a 1.9 pug 2-5 could go faster than it

Did you see a tidy looking red 2001 P38 HSE down at Bruce Davis ?
My Dad bought it last weekend and was having them give it the once over.

falcon Xr6 Turbo very slow for a V6 turbo.
One point - Falcons don't yet have a V6 engine... they are a straight 6.

John,
You beat me to that.:D:D
I am a Holden man and reckon they are pretty good for a turbo straight six.
Most of it is personal preference.
At the end of the day a car is a car fairly much.

With a bit of luck I'll get the defender back in the next couple of weeks, its been the wifes daily driver for the last 12 months. (had to buy her a car though).
It'll be good being able to start a job on it knowing I don't have to have it all completed and ready to go that same evening.

Ha Ha, like the car salesman said in National Lampoons Vacations "You think you hate it now, but wait 'till you drive it!"
