G,day all , me again with more problems . backed the RR out of the shed today and there it was oil on the floor . seems to be coming from the rear diff .is it a big job to put a seal in or could it be anything else ?? any thoughts or advise .

nope its pretty easy at 5 nuts/bolts to get to but replacing the pinion drive flange needs a big socket a locking tool and some attention to detail.

so do i need to remove the axles or anything else ?

if its leaking from the pinion no you just drop the propshaft, remove the nut (mark it and count the turns first) then put the seal in and put everything back as it was. if its leaking from the diff/housing joint yes you have to remove the propshaft and the axles as well as drain the diff..

If the nuts are loose then just tightening them might be sufficient.
