So, I have a CLEAN install of vista on a partition that I want to run CRYSIS on,,
and the usual install of vista on another partition for everyday use.

upon startup the Boot manager asks me which version I want to use,, wherein lies the problem,,

cordless keyboard and mouse.

the sender is plugged into the original M/B round socket and a usb port.
upon startup one of the two lights on the sender flashes so the sytem must do some form of test.
but remains not connected until vista boots.

how do I get to pick the other OS and keep my cordless gear???

Check the bios for usb support for keyboard and mouse, there could be an option there, although I thought that might be the default now.

Wireless keyboards are a bit of a toss up if they will or won't work before Windows boots.

Try booting without the usb part of the wireless base plugged in, also.
