I personally would have taken the bridge option... quicker than mucking around and having to open the door to let the water out.
Why did they stop in the river any way? to throw a red and gold number 2 celta out and try to catch a trout?

I was talking to him while we watched that truck was being laoded into a container on its way to Aus. For that event. Nice truck that would love to have had a play in it :D:D

And oil in the water. Cleans all the nice protective oil off the bottom (and sides & top) of his engine & dumps it in the river!
