MY '99 D2 TD5's LHS front door won't unlock when the remote is pressed twice. All other doors unlock but that one. You can pull on the internal handle and the door lock will lift and door will open but if you just try and pull on the lock it will not unlock but immediately go straight back down. Does anyone here know how to fix this as a new door lock actuator system for the D2 is $200.00 :(
Help anyone ?????

Other than something simple like a connector come away, it'll probably be the actuator (solenoid) in the door. I just had my drivers one replaced for $250 including fitting. Finally got fed up of pressing the remote 5 or 6 times to get it to come up.
I have heard they can be "lubed" with graphite powder, and also heard they cant!.
Also, they are designed not to be pulled up, so try using the unlock button on the dashboard until you figure it out.
Just for info, first press should only unlock the drivers door and disarm the alarm, second press should unlock all remaining doors including the back door.

Depends how it is programmed.
You can have one point unlock or all points unlock with one press.
