From an absolute novice's point of view, I found a book in the book shop the other week that comprehensively explains the ins & outs of GPS. I do not yet own a GPS unit, and my knowledge base was about enough to fill the internal diam of a wheel nut. :D
At least now I know what to look for when I do buy one.
Book Details are;
Title: "GPS Vehicle Navigation in Australia"
A Comprehensive Guide For Four Wheel Drivers and Other Navigators. Second Edition, 2007.
Author: Robert Pepper
Publisher: Boiling Billy Publications, Wyndham, NSW, 2204.
ISBN: 978 1 876296 38 4
It cost $30.00 at the local bookshop, IMHO, I reckon it's worth twice that, easily!:thumbsup:
But, I'm sure the local library would be able to get their hands on a copy, considering it's locally written, published, & printed.
I hope that this helps somebody else, because AULRO has been brilliant in helping me learn about my next wheels:clap2:
It would be nice to return the favour.
Cheers
