If you're not too worried about the fanbelt looking original a 15A0980 fits perfectly (thanks CHEV40 - LROCV forum) about half the price of an LR 'specialist'. PITA to fit when you have a capstan winch fitted !
The governor belt can be replaced with an 11A0800.

I am chev 40 . Super crap (Cheap) auto had those fan belts on special for 8 dollars as they were a de-listed part .

I rebuilt my S1 water pump using a 1940 Chev water pump kit . I had to modify the impellor , it works great and saved me many dollars buying a new pump from the UK or a local supplier . The chev kits are on Ebay often .

Thanks Mike,

I paid a bit more than $8 but still much less than the $50 the LR shop wanted.

Fortunately the previous owner changed the water pump (at a cost of about $300 !!).

Hi there

Many thanks for the tips - we should start a section on replacement parts available for the SI's/well series vehicles.

If only you had spoken up about three weeks ago about the govenor belt, it took me three tries before I got one to fit properly (not alot of adjustment)

Many thanks

PS in regards to water pump we are in the process of doing one with a massy fergerson tractor kit (again about $50 beter than $300 plus)

I was visiting an industrial belt company on business yesterday and asked about the fanbelt. They immediately picked up the part number as an 'automotive' part and not an industrial belt. I ended up coming away with a slightly wider belt which I think will fit for $7 !
