Hi ive been searching around a bit for the actuator for my D2.Ive emailed a few different places about the electric version and they want $750 for it.Would that be right?Seems a bit much for something that turns a 10mm nut.Would anyone have access to a manual version that they would like to sell or even know somewhere that sells them.

Cheers Matman.

Try doing a search of the forum on this issue. There are plenty of thread on it.

There are a number of mechanic means to engage the CDL. The most reliable and easiest way is to hunt down a CDL linkage from a D2a (update versions of the disco). They put the linkage in after they realised that traction control wasnt as good as they thought.

Check with the various landy wreckers or alternatively get in contact with 4x4intellence.com. They sell a lot of Disco stuff and can source a CDL linkage for you. Ask to speak to Simon and tell him Angus sent ya. He will look after you.

Cheers

Angus

Where are you???

Even if not in WA, hit WhitePages online and give Discovery Automotive a call in Wangara, WA, 6065. They have a kit that they use which I'll be getting. If you're not in WA, I'm sure they can tell you who supplies it and you can go from there.

Cheers

I have a manual one from Bruce Davis $320 only works in Low Range (usually when you need it) nice and simple nothing electrical to bugger up like the wiper motor $750 units.

There are manual kits available but these kits comprise of original parts & are
probably going to cost you a little more than that.
the advantage of keeping it original is that there is no chance of the
aftermarket electric motors failing and you can still select diff lock in hi & low
range.
