ok guys i'm looking for a favor

this year is the final year for my oldest boy's footy team as juniors
so what we(Dads) are trying to plan is a trip to Bathurst for our last footy trip

myself and a couple of other Dads run a trip every year since under 9's now U17's

so what i'm after if possible is someone that lives close to the track and has plenty of paddock space that wouldn't mind putting us up for the week
we will have around 25-30 heads their

we are trying to run this as cheap as possible so we can get more kids and dads along

we are willing to pay a fee for the inconvenience

or even if anyone knows of someone around the area willing to help out
but we'd like the daily commute to be at a minimal distance as we are hiring a bus
and if anyone can help out with cheaper bus hire please let me know as well :D

in other words i'm being a tightarse:whistling:

cheers Ray

try ringing the scout associations around bathurst.they sometimes rent out thier halls to smallish groups like yours.it gets bl---dy cold at bathurst around v8 time and camping out for a week is a challenge

oh, and you can stay for free. :D

Are you planning to only go on the sunday for the race or for the saturday and sunday. What are your plans.

Its an easy highway run to the track from my place, and in all honesty bathurst is pretty busy around that weekend so staying out of town can be easier aswell. The traffic is never to bad heading out on sunday morning and you will need to que to get in regardless of whether you stay in town or out, and if you have all pre-paid the line is shorter.

mate you'd be more than welcome to tag along with us:D

i'll put it to the other dads over the next couple of days and get back to you

our plans are to have this all organized prior to the footy season starting
then each family can pay each week save the hassle of 1 big payment at the end

thanks again mate look forward to it

Come on Ace - it can't be for FREE.:eek:

Use your initiative here. ;)

Make the offer conditional - on one aspect.

Allow me to suggest the offer is conditional on Ray NOT BEING BANNED AGAIN.

Think of the good that will result in this - firstly Mrs Hiline will be very relieved and appreciative of the support we are giving to Ray.

Not to mention Ray himself - he is trying hard, real hard, not to be banned again. Jeez, he misses the place.:o

With such an incentive he will most certainly behave himself. It is a certainty that he doesn't want 25 young lads saying:

"Thanks Ray, now we can't go because YOU got banned".

Do it for the kids Ace. Make it conditional. Go on. ;)
