Following a request about my 'Camper Conversion', here is the short version Part 1.
a) Strip the inside. You don't have to remove the roof lining, as I decided to replace my saggy one with a early Disco1 roof.

You can see on the RHS where I've marked up where I placed a side support. To attach it (Pic 2) I welded nuts to a plate and slid it into the B pillar cavity. At the other end (top left corner of pic 5) steel angle again with captive nuts on a plate fixes the side support and 2nd crossbar. This is so it all can be removed if necessary.
For the front section, again, some angle and a captive nut for the 1st crossbar and console. In pic 4, the shows how the console is supported. You can use the holes for the handbrake, both left and right hand drive, so it is unboltable if necessary
You will notice that the handbrake is not where it is supposed to be. It now lives on the left - because of the TC, it can't live on the right.
For the 3rd and 4th crossbar I used the fitted holes for 7-seater seats.
More to come.
