What are these plugs?

What are plugs two and three.

Plug one is the engine sump plug, and i cant get it off for the life of me. Im hoping plug 2 or 3 are actually the sump plug, and ive been told the wrong thing, so I dont have to deal with it. For something that is meant to be tightened to 27nm, its an unbreakable seal. Spoke to the last place that serviced it and they denied using loctite.

Plug one is the engine sump plug. They can be incredibly tight. Use a single hex socket and a long bar.

Plug 2 and 3 are just filling holes in the bellhousing. They don't actually go anywhere or do anything else (I just went and checked on a spare gearbox, I can see the inside of them in the bellhousing).

I had to book my other car down for a service, and i asked if they could assist me and they said bring it down later this afternoon.

Ill suggest to them to use a single hex socket. I dont think the plug can stand much more abuse, as it was already partly rounded off.

I had a bit of trouble getting mine out when I did a service on it a few weeks ago as well Aaron.

With the engine warm, a quick blast on the head of the plug with Loctite Freeze & Release, and using a single hex socket, it came out easy.

I didnt want to hit a hot sump with that product. But yes, it did cross my mind.

Mate if your still having trouble with it give me a hoy and I'll get my buthcer tools from work to get it out but make sure you have a replacement plug before you come....

with the freeze and release you dont need the engine hot just warmed up, drive it just enough to get the temp gauge moving, park it and let it sit for 10 minutes or so then starting at the middle of the head hit it with the freeznrelease and then work to the sides.

Well they got it loose. Few taps of the hammer, and 3 foot bar, and a now screwed up sump plug! but its off. Ive got a replacement, now I can ditch the oil.
