You looking at the set on ebay? If not, check them out, a good price.

Yeah there the ones. I like the look of them but iam not sure yet as it was not that high in my modification priority list and I did want 8" rims later on down the track. Just thought I ask first before jumping in too deep.

The stud pattern and size have never changed but the thread is slightly different, be careful. I find series nuts for steel wheels go on Defender studs but not the other way around. They bite and feel like they will damage the thread. Did they change from Imperial to metric?

Nah, all Defenders are the same. I have late model alloys on my 94.

Needs the matching wheel nuts though, in response to the original poster.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all S3's are 16mm (at least the Stage 1's are) and County 110 and Defender are the same. S1's and 2's were 9/16.

Thats right, the last of the 2As had the 16mm studs as well, the wheels should fit all but some drum brake models.

Alloy wheels don't go onto early hubs, if you jam them on you'll never get them off.

Easiest way to check whether it'll accept alloys is look at the studs themselves. If there's a slash across them, they're intended for alloys.

Why would you turn off your rust protection?

Why would you turn off your rust protection?

Thats True... I just hate havin oil leaks all off my previous cars never had oil leaks.Ive done a search and found that Sump, transfer and swivel pins are all very common problems with defenders but i cant understand why the transfer is leaking cause it was rebuilt only 40k ago.

Anyway ive gotton i bit off my original post topic ;)...
