Does anyone have anything similar to the following for servicing a 4BD1/T with a LT95/85 box.

I will probably do most of my own servicing in the future so a check list would be useful and make a good service record of how the vehicle was maintained.

thanks

Thought I'd add my 2 cents worth. A couple of things often forgotten are the grease nipples on the water pump bearing (passenger side & hard to see) and under the bottom belt pulley on air con models.

Yes I only noticed the water pump grease nipple about six mths ago when that short section of hose needed replacing.

Before the security nazis get to it this is a copy of the file that is given to authorised repair agents to reproduce for their grease monkeys when we send off 110's for civvie servicing.

Ive compared it to the Uncontroled set of 110 emei's that I nabbed from up north when I was turning spanners there and its near on identical.

a couple of phone calls, some emailing and here it is.

a civvie copy of the emei that I get to use at work.

I take it these grease nipples aren't present on all engines?

Mine is from a JDM truck, I'm sure it doesn't have them. But now you've got me worried.:(

You may not have them, but they are easy enough to find if you know you are looking for them. So if I were you, I'd grab a light and a rag and have a look.

thanks very much Dave. That's great. I was interested to note these prescribe a 10000km service interval. I thought it was five. 10 suits me.

thats covered in a supplemental....

depending on operating conditions the service intervals can be halved, and then halved again

IE 10K services become 5 then 2.5.

the only trips that I consider requireing dropping the suzis service interval are the ones like the canning stock route and even then only if your not the lead vehicle or you dont have the ability to avoid or stop to wait out the dust storms. Having seen some of these things abused in the top ends harshest environtments (both wet and dry) I could just about justify dropping it to the 5K mark.

The only way Id want to cross the kind of terrain and environment that might warrant dropping it to 2.5K Km is quickly, In a plane or a helicopter.

If your suzies getting long in the tooth then its worth keeping the base oil change and filter changes down to the 5K/6 month interval and leaving the rest at the 10K/12 month interval but check the rockers every 12 months and the timing every 24.

thanks again Dave.

the CSR is on the list but wont happen till the kids are a bit older.

I think mine has only done about 150,000 km as it probably only got sold off in about 1993/4.

Timing is gear driven on these? Is there a need to check ?

yep all gear drive on the timing gear. The only time I've checked it in real time is when a powersteering pump failed on one or when doing rebuild work.
