AdelaideNow... Croc turns tables on fisherman (http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,23321764-5006301,00.html)

I think he'd be needing a change of duds.

...and its "idiots" like that who give crocs a bad name...
"One minute I was leaning over the boat teasing it for a picture," Mr Mashiah said."
teasing it for a picture probably entails holding a fish out of reach...

and if the croc had hit its target the croc would have been blamed as a seething rabid bloodlusting killer...

anyway ill settle down now...

was a great photo though! Isnt the Adelaide river the one they have been training crocs to jump for food in for the past 5-10 years... the ol girls must be good at by now!

Steve

Isn't that how they would train them to jump for food ;)

You don't need to train crocs to jump out of the water for food, it is a natural thing to do. Birds sitting on branches just above the water are tasty... to a croc.

Jon is right and they have been feeding them like that for over 30 years. Awesome to see, I have some great pics, but not digital so wil have to scan.

Definately a set up. Why else would you set up a photo like that. Pity the croc didnt get the moron and the camera man. No evidence.:twisted:

I wonder if they'll launch "retaliatory" attacks like they do back in his home :D

As Roverrescue said - how dumb can you get.

"I didn't think crocs were that aggresive"

What, did he think they were herbivores and all the stories were BS :D
What a DH :rocket:

He was just confused coz the croc wasn;t holding a rock. If it had been he would have shot it !

Actually it was the South Alligator River not the Adelaide but as BigJon mentioned crocs do not need to be "trained" to jump. They can launch them selves extremely fast to get food, saw one bring down a large wild pig down once that was just walking past up on the bank. It didn't know what hit it.
In the local paper yesterday it also had a photo of Novon Mashiah leaning over the back pointing to the cros which was less than 2 metres away so it was not enhanced.
