I need some help.

A little Britain mug that belongs to a workmate has been touring the world and sending email pics of its trip back to its owner (who has no idea where it is).

However it has recently had a rather severe accident and died of its injuries.

To keep it going I am trying to source another mug (seems they are pretty rare). Tried ebay etc with no luck.

Is anybody able to assist, possibly some one in the UK? with obtaining another mug.

We would really like to continue its tour (now into its 8th month)

Tried the ABC shop? There's generally a Little Britain promo stand.

Yeah, they don't have it - I think this may have only come from their live shows :(

I take it that the mug is dead beyond all hope of reconstruction? Even just for show/photo purposes?

My mate is on his way back to the UK at the end of next week - I'll get him to keep an eye out for one. Only I note that it is a "Little Britain Live" mug which may have only been for sale at their gigs.

BTW is that first photo of the mug in the Trevi Fountain?

Yes - it's another one of those warped, twisted humour shows, that works with inuendo, tounge in cheek comments -

You know - the sort of thing that us Phoms are good at - being weird !!!!

:D:D:D

You really need a 'strange' sense of humour to really appreciate it - which I guess is why I like it so much ;)

Get one hand made by a potter.
Mate had mugs made years ago with a family member name on each.

It was on the ABC, and, as many people don't take advantage of their 10 cents a day,;) they don't get to see shows such as this.

Not as weird as The League of Gentlemen. Now that WAS weird.

It sounds like I've missed a good comedy show , would you believe I don't watch much Telli , incidentally I didn't know what tongue and cheek Humour meant and Googled it. :D, so here is what I found

Tongue-in-cheek humour in fiction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiction) often takes the form of gentle parodies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody). Such stories seem to abide by the conventions of an established serious genre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genre), while in reality, they gently poke fun at some aspects of that genre. A tongue-in-cheek work still relies on these conventions and is not the same as a farce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farce).

don't worry there is nothing good about it. And the fact people quote lines from it constantly makes it even worse. It reminds me of how people always quoted monty python and it just ain't funny unless you are watching the show. Except little Britain is never funny.

There was nothing gentle about the humour in Little Britain.
It is one of those shows that pushes the boundaries of just how far comedy is prepared to go.
It seems to take great delight in being outrageous.

There will never be universal agreement about just how funny any given TV comedy show is. Different people have different tastes.

Humour often comes from something being different, unexpected, incongruous, or unconventional.
Most people who like the show recognise that some of the humour is derived from the surprise element. It's often surprising just how far they are prepared to go.

Each to his own.
