I am incredibly impressed.

Anyone can do decent steel work, very few can do steel panel that nicely.

I love it!!!

yes he's done a fantastic job.
It's just a bit of a shame he done a hummer replica.

I think you Blokes are talking about Rhinobuggies up at the Goldcoast
He makes Hummer Replica's base on Patrool Chassis

Have you had a look at the prices
$47,000 for a vehicle with rego !
$250 for ONE door hinge !

Give me my RRC any day ;)

**edit 14-20,000 for the body kit then $28 extra for a build manual

A lot of work.
Love the look of them Hummers.

What he has to hope is that he isn't faced with even more work than he has planned on.
In the 1970's an acquaintance in Narrabri was building a sports car more or less from scratch.
He had to redo some things - not because he had made a mistake, but because the specifications of some of the design regulations changed from when he started.
It can happen with long term projects.

Speaking of door hinges, I hope anyone here who was watching Top Gear last weekend was able to correctly identify the Defender from the close-up of the hinge. Pretty easy that one!

This person is building this rig in the US, only thing they worry about is emissions in California. He most likely will not have to get any engineering performed, and will be licenced off of the donor vehicle - the ford F250. The only check may be a roadworthy and thats all.
Nice work, wish I had the skills and the time.
I love the idea of a kit car - but it will have to be a road car.

That guy is simply amazing - considering he didn't even know how to weld, before he started.:clap2:

Hells bells outstanding workmanship, but to tell the truth if I had that level of fabrication skills I would build something of my own design so it was truly a one off

You cant knock his work or the quality each to there own, pity its a Hummers. Brings back visions of Borat sitting in the Hummers and asking about the Whizzer magnet!

Yep. They were the ones I was drooling over before I got my Defender.
