There's a couple of sites around with the Iceland rigs, what they do. Including widening the body if memory serves.

Theres an Icelandic mob who export their big flares too. Who knows what that'd cost here.

What are you saying? Anything that does not cater for your own personal tastes is ridiculous

You mentioned personal taste, mate, not ME!!

If you don't like blind to ridiculous, try chalk and cheese.

It should be quite obvious to the average er.. "person" that Land Rovers are off road vehicles, are they not?

The big wheel makes sense for certain types of terrain, the "Yobbo" wheels, although they may look fantastics to some, are totally useless on a 4WD..

And when was the last time you saw a RRS on a bush track?????????

They're a bling machine, capable of getting away from the papparazzi or the police if your being followed and cannot loose them on the bituman. It's a Range Rover not a Land Rover, there are differences you know.

Might have to spray his windscreen red/rose tint whilst the disco is in the shop so Ron can cancel out the effect of the green eyed syndrome.

Don't worry Ron, I'll let you wash my D2 in Cooma if you like.

question for the shooters
I know a few of you guys shoot for sport and I don't want to offend anyone with the question but I cannot understand something regarding your sport.

Why shoot at something that cannot shoot you back?

I enjoy what I have done in both paintball and archery, but in archery it was a cardboard target and in paintball you have to be good or you get shot back and lets face it I have yet to see a boar or a roo with a rifle.

So whats the facination? Is it a Freudian thing?
Geez ya know, I reckon I can almost see a correlation between the 2 :p:twisted:, some one anti shooting...someone anti bling, in both cases, dont like the station..change channels ,

Sorry for the display folks, however when you play with chimps you have to learn to through a few turds back in their general direction or you not only lose an arguement, you also get **** upon and others just know that you stink and do not want to be seen in public with you.

Yes Ron I am 31, yes I do occasionally act like I am 21, I guess that comes from having a care free lifestyle and trying to not act like an old opinionated fart. (believe me though Mr Bullpitt, I do have a real job, I'm just a low life hippy at heart)

Like anyone I can act responsible, mature even treat others with a certain level of civility and respect.

When it's called for.

Perhaps if the original post was worded in a positive note and not negative then none of this would have happened.

Each to their own.
Personally I do not see the point of spending $100k plus on a 4x4 you will never use off road and adding heaps off bling including ridiculously big mags that just honestly look stupid.
I would much rather buy a decent sports car.
The Arctic Trucks though look good and are built for a purpose and psrt of their attraction is they are built for a use. Bling machines are look at me projects.
A nice set of mags always looks good, but the preposition that bigger is better is rubbish. I hink anything above 19s make the car look retarded, but that is just my opinion.
Bring back the deep dish mags of the 70s and 80s.:p

We have a politician fella in our club that just recently bought himself an RRS with I think 19" RR Alloys Rims , he takes his vehicle everwhere , On and Off road, ha's got scratches all over his Alloy Rim. it's gota nice sounding 4.4L NA under the Bonnet thou.

Personally I think they're a Road car because of all that independant suspension , he gets hung up on obstacles quite a bit and to make matters worse he 's got road tyres on the alloy rims
I wouldn't take the vehicle offroad , and yes I would run Bling mags on it.
Each to their own i suppose.

Not quite true, the early ones were Range Rover by either Rover Co Ltd or British Leyland - Land Rover as a separate entity didn't exist until the 1980's.

Doesn't the rear door look ridiculous - too small for the rest of the design.

They should have modified a front door or made the rear one as long as the front. They would have even been able to wind the rear glass the whole way down.

I want that blue expedition vehicle, very tidy setup.
Most of those Icelandic vehicles have very little suspension lift, along with a small body lift as they do not require the suspension flex for their type of 4wding, big tyres mean better flotation on the snow. Food for thought, big rims are okay off road - big rims 19"+ with 44'" = less sidewall flex than due to less side wall height than 16" rim and 44" rubber.
