Hiya,

Has anyone traveled this route from Mt Glorious to the Gantry? Is it worth a look as part of a day trip?

And how long would it take?

Well, due to the staggering response to this thread I shall take cameraboy, apprentice navigator and new dog out for a drive on Saturday for a recce and check it out.

By the way, meet Dougall the Groodal.

...post a serious thread and you get zero....put up a pic of a dog (an outrageously spoiled dog, soon to be ruined by wife and kids) and you get instantaneous replies.

I came down Lacey's Crk Rd today. Wasn't that interesting in my opinion. You may get better views out of your D3 though, as I tend to sit high in my 110. Recent rain has left exposed rocks (10cmX10cm rubble at most) and you will need to air down. Its dry up there, apart from the usual wet wheel ruts.

Is the Mt Glorious end of Laceys Ck Rd open? I am pretty sure that many years ago forestry had an access gate there. Could be wrong, maybe thinking of another track.

Im not sure. I dont know it that well. All I know I was on a dirt track that my GPS said was Lacey Crk Road.

The Dayboro end has always been open, just not sure about the other end.

Oh yeah, I cam out at Dayboro end.

Where does it start?


I came down A Break then when i got to the end, i had the option of Dianas Bath Rd, but i went streight ahead almost, then followed that. Not sure the name of that trail.

I think its a Golden Retriever X Poodle.

Correct. The idea is you get a very intelligent golden retriever that doesn't drop hair. Time will tell. Mind you, after keeping me awake half the night, losing hair is the least of his worries!

At the Mt Glorious end there's a gate and it's locked. No entry for 4WDs.
