I recently found a winch plate that sits behind a standard bumper bar of a S1 Disco with minor trimming, marketed by Bearmach in UK.
Has anyone seen one of these in Australia.
Does anyone know of anyone who imports them or makes them. Are they airbag compatible?.
The main issue I see with one of these is access to the free spool arm. Means if I'm deep in the mire I may get muddy trying to access the free spool arm.
I'm not sure what size or brands of winch may fit either.
Can anyone see other problems or issues.
If anyone has one installed was it hard and how have you found it?

Regards

That's a copy of the standard LR winch receptacle contained in STC8898AA - and according to the EPC, suitable for D2, so it appears to be compatible with airbags. It is more of a dish that sits between the chassis rails than a vertical plate, as the warn-type winch sits in the horizontal position, not up against the vertical plate. They pop up on ebay every now and then, and apart from a dealer or ARB, it may be easier to make your own

The pics are of one that was for sale a couple of years ago.

TJM use a similar cradle for their airbag compatible bars, i have one on mine but i'm not sure if it would sit behind/below a standard bar.
