Hi all, still interested in a new Defender and was looking at servicing costs, what I really want to know is $$ in real terms, not from the sales guy, I've not had a land rover b4 so I have no idea, nor on the service interval either. I am led to believe that the new defender has a new engine, is this good ..?
Appreciate your feedback!

Heya blu - I've got the new Defender - just had it serviced. Not at a dealer, but at a Land Rover expert (MR Automotive). Service was $450.00. Pretty good I reckon - better than over double that at the dealers.
The service interval is officially 20 000km after the initial 10 000 service - but MR have told me to bring it back every 10 000km regardless. So I will.
The new engine is superb - heaps of torque - great economy, quiet and no turbo lag. Hope this helps. :)

Mate - as no one else has had a go at your question - I'll try. How about Graeme Cooper (99 Princes highway St. Peters NSW 2044). They might not be on the north side of town - but they are the blokes in the know in NSW. ;)
You know - I drive from Brisbane's southside to Redcliffe to get my vehicle serviced - thats a 70km trip - but worth it. :)

I drive 20 minutes from home to get there :P Or 1 minute from work :P
What do you do when you put your car in there? Wait arround?
I went to book my car in there for a service and there was a three week wait... Screw that.
