Just picked up my new white 2000 defender extreme. It's kitted out with most of the goodies I need winch, bullbar, roofracks, new micky tompsons etc and a full service history. It seems to drive well and seems to cruise the happiest at 100km/h on the highway, with the lower gearing compared to my old TDI disco. It will need a new radiator and a seal kit through the steering box soon but other than that it passed it's mechanical inspection with flying colours. I am keen to test it out in the rough stuff with you guys around perth some time.
I will try to post some pics soon as I know a pic tells a thousand words.

cheers Matt

taller tyres will fix the gearing on the freeway - I run 255 / 85 x 16 and find these are perfectly geared.
