See the tyre tracks already there?
I reckon he came in and realized, backed out and went around again then decided to do it for a claim. Bet he got 'sunk' by the footage!
He climbed out of the window, onto the bonnet and jumped off dry when it reached the other side, didn't he?

Those tyre tracks don't look like they were left by a car. More like the rear axle on a truck (dual wheels).

Big Jon funny how some people look at things diferrently I didnt notice the tyre tracks until I read your thread had to go back and watch it again. If it is a set up the prior footage would have been a bit embarrasing if was supposed to be an insurance job.:wasntme:

Thanks

Hmmm, don't know, looks like a set up to me. Could the driver have still been in the car? Looked like it stopped then drove to the other side. Also noticed the indicator went on after he got out the Rangie. Looked very calm too. And why would someone be videoing it?

Who knows, a good laugh either way:D

Blinker - the electrics were wet.
Why video? I assume it was a surveillance camera footage.

The frozen pool looked just like the parking area in the foreground.

Ron Bingo, didnt think surveillance footage, but having watched it a couple of times now, I think Ron has hit the nail on the head. One of my shepherds from years ago did the same thing but with a lake where there was an inlet. He was running and thought it was still land , was very surprised when he found himself in a couple of feet of water :D,

I stand corrected. <bigjon>
Looking at it again, it definately was a truck dual wheel in reverse.
It backed in from the opposite side of the road as it should, and the indicators and timing were accurate as if they were knocked by a driver trying to squeeze his touche out of a window.
He knocked the stem and got the indicators working, I now think it is for real.
Enjoyed the laugh, what's wrong with us?:D

I bet they did more damage getting it out of the POND than he did putting it in there and because he got out the window I don’t think there would have been any water damage as the depth of the water is lower than the maximum wading depth for the Rangy and it still had traction and was able to idle across the pond.

Hi Ron,

You could well be right, but I still think it's a set up. The Rangie came to a definite complete stop then appeared to drive off after about 15 seconds (when the bloke had conveniently got out of the vehicle.)

As for video surveillance, I find it hard to believe they would go to the trouble of obtaining video surveillance footage. They would have to have known where the video surveillance camera was, approach the business & get a copy. Not an easy feat (here anyway), unless as someone mentioned, it was an insurance job.

I had thought about the electrics being wet, but think it more likely someone knocked the indicator on.

Also seemed to me he drove quite fast into it, which wouldn't have thought he would have done in the road surface conditions & if it was a car park.
