Howdy Guys , Just wondering what land rover had changed on the discovery from the 95' models to the 98' models . They look just about the same to me but i'm new to disco's too. I'm getting closer to buying one so any info would be very much appreciated . Thanks ;):)

98 I beleive is the D2 (no longer D1, which was bassed heavily on the classic rangie chassis/suspension)

Its the intro of the TD5 diesel.
Radius arms front and rear, with a watslink to centralise the rear diff.
New interior design

I could be wrong but these are the main things that I beleive are changed/new.

95 to 98 Disco's will all be essentially the same. Some with ABS and airbags, some without.

99 was the introduction of the Disco II.

BTW, the D2 was a major redesign to the D1:

Lots of things you dont see or notice. A change happened about mid late 95 with the following differences.
The floor pan is different, under the front seats
Front seat bases
front Seatbelts
Door lock solonoids different
radio aerial went from the front guard to rear window
transfer case got a cross drilled gear
Dash boards were modified on the front edge to reduce peeling
lots of other things i cant remember.............

Mags changed in 98.
