For those who may not know it

Our Father
Who Art In Solihull
Land Rovering Be Thy Name
To The Tracks We Come
Thy Maintenance Is Done
In Garages As In On The Tracks
Give Us Our Daily Drive
And Forgive Us Our Trespasses
As We Forgive Who Seek To Ban Us
Lead Us Not Into Illegal Closures
But Deliver Us From The Greenies
For Thine Is The Clearance
The Articulation
And The Traction Forever
Amen

The twelve steps of Land Rover ownership.

Apologies to the 12 steppers out there, but Land Rovers are an addiction.

1. We admitted we were powerless over our addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable without Land Rovers.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity and joined AULRO

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of The Fourm.

4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our vehicles

5. Admitted to AULRO, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our Land Rover's problems.

6. Were entirely ready to have The Forum discuss all these defects

7. Humbly asked The Forum how to remedy these shortcomings

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all - friends and partners we've bored rigid talking about Land Rovers, taken looking at endless Land Rovers, loaned us money to buy another bloody Land Rover.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others- Apologised to the wife and mechanic, but didn't sell the LR, didn't think either of them could survive without it.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it - Frequent trips to the mechanic for ongoing maintenance.

11. Sought through meditation to improve our conscious contact with AULRO, looking only for knowledge of The Forum's will for us and the power to carry those repairs out.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs - Converted friends and family to Land Rovers and introduced them to AULRO.

Nice one Gary !

Do you think it'd be ok to abbreviate it to:

" oh God, please start "

I think so, as long as you were clear of mind and smiling.... lol

Cheers,

Pete

Haha ;)

The prayer is written on the side of my truck - just foreward of the rapier symbol.
