ah yes, the RZ500 - a humorous ride...
I also took an RG500 for a test ride once...foolishly in the wet...I thought I had missed a gear when I changed down and wound on the throttle at 60kph and didn't go any faster...the rear wheel was just spinning on the wet road...

Not really for me to say Ron, except that I would not be in a hurry to pass them on just yet. I have seen people do this before and then wish they'd held onto things for some time longer.
In the meantime, that CB350 is an excellent looking piece. Amazing little machines those, quite light and lots of grunt (like their bigger 750 cousins).

Hi Ron,
You could always lend them to a MC Museum.

Doesn't the honda look old!!
It's probably worth good money though I'm no bike expert.
As has been suggested, probably find a museum or something for the Honda and mothball the rest but retain ownership until you have had time to think clearly, 6 months to a year.
Steve.

G'day P38arover :)
Ron that is a Brilliant little CB 350/4 Cafe Racer in true 70's style :D and in original colours too, complete with "Dunstall Long Megas" on it as well as those wonderfull Clip On handle bars ;) that bike would have been the "Bees Knees" in the mid 70's and not a lot of 4 strokes would have caught it:coplight: Eer! I know Nothink!;)
Keep it as it is now Vintage and registerable as such,
See Ya @ Cooma

Steve, mate, some of us look older ;)
I know some should be put into museums with a good dose of formalin, but recollections of riding those things are relatively recent.
Give it another 10-20 years, you'll know what I mean ;)

Ron, being a motocyclist and a son I would want my dad to keep the Honda and once a year just go for a ride on a nice spring day and feel the wind in his face the open road ahead and for an hour two enjoy what I had, the way I had......
Take time to reflect before you dispose of them as once their sold there is no getting them back.....
Take care

Mate,
That is why the Museum is a good idea.
They keep it clean and look after it and if you want to take it for a run, it's yours :D

The gas tank has changed shape too, I think. I remember it being bigger, or maybe that was because the clip-ons got you real close to it ;)

I remember the cover of Two Wheels magazine when the first Katana was released, the headline read, "Meet the clever bike disguised as a Hunchbacked Spaceman." I had a Kat 750 years ago, the one with the pop up headlight and "Katana' written backwards on the screen so you could read it in your rear vision mirror:eek:, looked good but a fairly gutless and boring motor. The 1100 was the one to get, a genuine 250kmh motorcycle way back then, nearly bought one but got a Honda CB1100RC instead, the one built to win the Castrol 6 hour, 120hp and a frame made of spaghetti, fun, fun, fun.:D

the person on the back holds onto the BIKE--
and in your case---
did he have a skinny back??

G'day Numpty's Missus :)

I agree with the idea that u hang onto them, u will regret passing them onto a new owner in no time at all, as suggested find a Secure Museum for them to Be Seen and appreciated, add a plaque to each bike with some personal history as part of the display, dedicated of course.
Cheers.

I'm riding the new (now with 5000km on the clock - bought in December) Yamaha XJR1300. :)
Noice!
I have had a a number of offers from my son's friends to buy the Honda 350-Four.
The RZ500 is in a museum.
The pocket rocket will be sold!

Well, we've put the CB350-Four up for sale on the Two Wheels forum. The prospective purchasers (who had put down a deposit) have split up and we don't think it's fair to hold them to the sale. Others who said they wanted it have dropped out. Now to put it in the Markets.
