Justinc, asked for some pics of my e-type.
The car I have is a 1971 Series 3 V12 OTS - the 11th rhd car made.
It is an auto but I have put in a Getrag 5 speed. The car will be able to converted back to original in about 3 days if needed.
For those who think I am in a mid life crisis - I bought the car in 1982 in the UK when I was in my mid 20s. It has about 90,000 miles on it and mechanically is in great condition - it can leak oil with the best of the landies.
I took the car off the road a few years back to do the gearbox conversion and to change the colour from black to red and the car is still in a million bits - but only body wise. All the mechanicals are in place.
The first lot of pics are before I pulled the car off the road - the last two are of the mess in the garage.
To finish the car is my next project.
As a request in another thread concerning Disco V8 fuel economy prompted Justincs request for the pics it is interesting to know that I get far worse fuel economy in this than any Disco. Best fuel economy is 17.5mpg at 75 mph - going slower gives worse and going faster gives worse - I average 14.5mpg and around town I get 11.5mpg. While the car looks aerodynamic it has the dynamics of a rhinocerous, my FC 101 has better on paper fuel consumption.
Cheers
Garry
