Defender TD5 Anti-Stall +TC in action vid.

After watching video from Impressive Defender Towing (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/general-chat/53278-impressive-defender-towing.html) I decided to take some footage how anti-stall works in australian conditions :)

Here is a short one (00:36) done in quarry last Sunday

Yes its impressive to watch but seriously...how long before somebody is hurt or killed doing this?

Quedos to Ruslan for taking the time to display this mouth-watering technology.
But, to be honest, I also take issue with the execution.

Perhaps some jet-ski like kill switch is required.
Engine is killed when no weight in drivers seat...? akin to the seatbelt sensors...?

Toasters come with 'do not use in bathtub' instructions in their manuals, LR will probably include something like 'driver should remain in vehicle when driving ... '

WOW thanks for doing this. It shows the td5 fenders are pretty capable.

As to the safety... I probably wouldn't have walked in front of it but otherwise thought it was ok :o

That's right, safety is very important. Actually I forgot to put disclaimer such as "Do not try to repeat, do not do it at home with your car. Only for trained personal."

Wouldnt have walked in front in soft sand just in case I lost my footing.....however its not an unsafe technology as suggested in previous posts.

I have Hill Decent control I deem unsafe because it activates the brakes which is an absolute no no on rocks.

You don't need a weight detecting kill switch (demonstrations aside) if you are stupid enough to get out of the car while its moving you deserve what you get.

Lets leave the intelligence with the people not the cars.
