I have ordered multiple items from the the big 3 UK dealers (John Craddock, P.A. Blanchard and Dunsfold) and never had to wait more than a week for small packets which are sent by airmail. And they were delivered to Nowra, so your son would have be in a very out-of-the -way place.
Have you tried Land Vehicle Spares - Silverdale NSW (http://www.landvehiclespares.com/) or All Four X 4 in Kotara NSW (http://www.allfourx4.com.au/) both do mail order service.

Frank,
Delivery from the UK is normally 7-10 days, so is quick.
I believe Isotta make a boss kit you are after. These can be bought through Autobarn. There is some info I posted some time ago if you do a search where I listed awhat was available.
Cheers

Frank,
This may help.
Isotta will have a boss for you. Google Isotta and ask Carl if he is still the importer. Autobahn are an Isotta dealer so they should be able to get them.
Italian Isotta codes, may be useful for when ordering here in Australia.

The only things I buy at SupaCheap are branded name oil, fan belts and similar stock items. Everything else I have bought there has failed in very short order.
I wouldn't even attempt to get Series Landie parts from the S place.
Here is the parts manual page for the details:

Addit. Should have given you the UK websites: Dunsfold (http://www.dunsfold.com/) John Craddock (http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/) P.A. Blanchard. (https://secure.pablanchard.co.uk/default.asp) all do a mail order service.
