Hi guys
The disco,s front engine pipe,s flexible joint needs replacing, and while i am at it i was going to remove the centre muffler and replace it with a piece of exhaust pipe.Question is how noisy would it be just having the rear resonator, or slip in a full flow muffler. Can,t afford the 700 bucks quoted for a3 inch system
Thanks guys

I have a Tdi300 in my RR, straight through pipe from flex coupling to the rear resonator ... not an issue. it may be noisier than without the centre muffler .. but yet to notice it!

I removed the centre muffler on my 200TDI and didn't notice any increase in noise from the inside, nor did I notice any real performance increase.

The muffler I removed is strait thru anyway So I wouldn't have removed it had I known.
Perhaps there may be benifit when I up the boost and tweek the injection pump.

I removed my centre muffler no noice increase , but the turbo does spool up quicker from idle not heaps but enough to notice

I did notice the spool up with in 20 feet driving out of the exhaust shop:D

I had my flex joint replaced a few months ago. Went with the advice of the exhaust shop and went up a length too. He has seen a few over the years and thought the extra length should help it last a bit longer (not that I think 13 years is bad anyway!, he commented it looked like the original but for an extra couple of bucks I said yep)

Thanks guys
Your info on the exhaust has saved me a few bob, overall the system is in good nick apart from the split in the flex joint,so its out with the muffler and in with a pipe and replace flex joint.

Thanks again
