Yeah, got a TDI disco. completely different vehicle but as always happens plans in life change and the vehicle doesn't suit my purpose any more. Pity because it took a long time to get right and a hell of a lot of money but I'm pleased it is running so well and I spent 2 grand on it after I knew I was going to sell it but I wanted to get it perfect.

I tell ya what it needs is a cargo barrier and a those stratos seats back in it, lol. Driving it with the original seats in it is..... well... not so nice. I took them out to barter with my mechanic so things wouldn't cost me so much. silly me!

Xavie,

As I am about to do the reverse....Disco Tdi to Defender.

I am sure that you will not regret the decision as the Disco is a nice unit....horses for courses...I agonised over mine.

If I'd known about your selling the Defender you might have had a sale by now....nice rig btw.

Is the headlining sagging already?

How good are the Stratos seats? Are the underseat bits still usable?

Thanks for all the support! Had quite a few enquiries and some weird calls also but I won't go into them!

The headlining does sag, lol, no it doesn't! the roof console holds it up ;)

I already bought the Disco and it's a nice unit. Completely different from a Defender of course but it will serve what I need to do and that's the most important thing. I do miss waving though so I still do it and just expect no response though I have been surprised so far.

And Jeff, the Stratos seats make all the difference. I put the regular black ones back in and now find the vehicle uncomfortable compared to before I thought it was a nice comfy rig. You can still use under the seat but you need to undo 4 wing nuts. As I never felt the urge to always be under the seat 4 wing nuts is nothing. The seats were around$800 each and frankly was the best $800(x2) I spent on the vehicle. You also are perched higher so see more over the bonnet and my legs were at a more comfortable angle. And the pump up back rest was way fancy. :spudnikdiscoball:

God I'm going to miss it,
Xavier
