Boys,

I have a Disco 2, april 99, v8 Auto, with ACE. I want to convert to gas with, Vapour Injection, Scuba Tanks underneath car with petrol tank removed + aux petrol tank. I've contacted a few "Gas Installers", including "Land Rover Specialists", they haven't been overally keen to talk about it or do it. I'm looking for someone who has had this conversion done to their own car and could recommend someone in Canberra or Sydney who can help me.

Also, has been recommended to chip car first, will give better economy and torque - then once gas is installed car will perform better.

All comments welcomed, but first hand experience of owners with the above setup really appreciated!

Thanks,

Dave.

If you do a "Search" you will find a lot of information on that subject.

Dave,
I think you should start again and just get a 3.9L Isuzu turbo conversion...

Mmm, I would like to listen to the radio and maybe talk to the missus. See this link, proper V8 engine - maybe this is the answer, they make power and don't break.

What happened to Lassie?

I haven't seen a Paxton supercharger setup in years... I wonder if a supercharger would fix your D2. Bring a camera to Cooma on Sunday, you might see something like what you are searching for. I've already seen a few Isuzu turbos and many nice mods just by walking up Sharp Street. Also spoke to a bloke who has been investigating doing a diesel-lpg conversion...

ps. my radio doesn't work.

Here are some pictures of mine which was converted some time ago, although not with scuba tanks.
