Has anyone got a drive planned over the next for days somewhere near the coast?
I finally have some time off and just kicking around what fellow members are up to and if anyone wants to catch up for a trek.
Keen for some low range or a BBQ and a beer. :)

If it wasnt the Easter long weekend I might but there will be to much holliday traffic around to drive to Brisvagas and I wont find that relaxing.
Another weekend ;)

I would have been keen as the new bigger intercooler is finished and installed (no bonnet scoop yet), but I did,nt get my tyre back from the vulcanizers so wont temp fate and venture out without a spare. Itching to get out as the Rangie is running bloody great now:twisted:
Back to putting in the new electric fences I suppose.
Have fun if you do go out.

I have decided that the easier option might be the go for the weekend.
So a social BBQ on Sunday. I will post up details on a GCLRO club only thread.

As for a drive would love to but the D3 goes on Tuesday.....when I get the new one...then I will be up hopefully in the next couple of weeks,

So you sold thew D3, what's the next project vehicle of sorts. Should be good whatever you choice of LR
Re- Sook trip. I just like to clarify things before I waste my time and not meant to be an offense. Everyone around here knows I like to play hard, even the next Rangie I buy I won't pike just be a bit more careful (if possible :wasntme:)
Have a good one.

Trav Yeah the D3 should go on Tuesday, was meant to go yesterday but a hiccup with the settlement...all sorted now. Have put a deposit on a stock 03 D2 TD5 with 7 seats, should have it by next Thursday and then the fun begins :D,

Always a sad moment to sell off your pride and joy.
When the buyer for my 76 Rangie picked it up last night it was a mixed feeling, but I am going onto another Rangie project now so looking to the future :)

well another day where i didn't enjoy myself, crystal creek in the wet is treacherous.
and the greedy buggers still take your money.
only managed to get down into the first track and needed assistance to winch out, slipperier than an eel.
no damage as such, just broke the winch somehow and wasted 20 bucks.

Best to avoid after rain that place, it's shocking during ans after rain
I have been there when it was sunny then a change and the rain poured on for about an hour, but still drizzled til we left. It took about 3 hours to get out of there with no winch, AT tyres and unlocked too (long time ago this happened when I was young and stupid, learnt a lot of off-road lessons that day :)).
Still. I agree, I think they should have at least some sort of money refund. They usually shut that place when rain has or is going to settle in.

You could have come to my place and helped me build a rock wall with our tractor on a steep side slope. Nothing like getting cross axled with a couple of hundred kilos in the bucket going down hill:(thank christ for the rear locker and ultra ultra low gearing;)
Least you would have saved $20
