Series 2a and 3 parts interchangability

Hi all, new to this site I really need some advise. I have a Series 2a SWB and Series 3 ex army comms vehicle my intention is to keep the 2A as a daily driver, The 2A has a 202 in it which is reconditioned. Personally I have never been a big fan of these motors having had bad previous experiances with them and I understand that they are possibly over powered for the rest of the drive train. But not sure? The series 3 has a LR 6 cyl in which is on gas and runs very sweetly. I would like to tranfer the best components of the Series 3 into the 2A if it makes it more reliable, improves its driveabilty as a daily commutor. I believe the brakes on the three are bigger and as it has a booster this would be a good option, also do the army vechicles have some better options than the standard Series 3 109's again not sure on this. So if anyone is able to advise me that would be great on swapping parts that make sence to convert the 2a. Hope to here for someone soon.

There is a different bell housing, and more importaintaly firewall, between the army 6 cylinder, and the 2a which was probably a 4 cylinder originally.

The 202 is overpowered, but that's only a problem off road when flogging it with wheels in the air. For highway work and everyday repairability the holden engine isn't such a bad thing.

I have a S3 with a holden engine, but i'm trying to go back to a 6 cylinder, but i'm restoring it, not keeping it as an every day driver so much, despite the fact that I drive it a lot. Parts are also harder to get for teh 6 cylinder land rover engine.

On another tangent, can I interest you in joining REMLR, or at least letting me know the chassis number of your series 3??
