Hi all,
I parked, then next morning I went to start the car the warning lights slowly go off and the SLS and OFF Road lights come back on and stay on. I go to start the engine it turns over then stops and alarm activates. RACQ advised me that it is the alarm system needs resetting. He tried by holding down the bonnet switch, disconnecting the battery 2 mins, reconnecting battery waiting 2 mins and trying again. no change in anything he tried. Next step is to put it on the back of a truck.
Any ideas or knowledge on reseting alarm system.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd be more suspicious of the battery voltage. With the ignition off, put a multimeter across the terminals and see it it registers at least 11.5V.

The alarm seems to activate if there is insufficient kick in the battery.

Not sure what you mean by "OFF Road" light

Thanks for the reply.
I measrured the voltage across terminals as per note only measured 10.7v. I'm thinking from that it looks like a cell down in the battery.

I'd say that's your problem. I had to swap my battery out when it fell to about that voltage too. Make sure any replacment is a Calcium/Silver type battery to take the temperatures under the bonnet.

On another subject when I accelerate and turn right mid turn I hear a knarly sound from the front end. I'm not sure whether or not I have TC. There is a light on the dash but no button. If I have, would this cause this noise. The wheel does not feel like its spinning.
