The bushrangers were a kit car from years ago based on a rangie. Im not sure if that many even exist anymore.

They still exist if you have a spare 50k. I know where one is for sale with a td5 auto in it

The one at Cooma had portal hubs as well - must have cost a fortune.

was also basically a disco 1 but had a 115" wheelbase.
The 109 had a good chat with the owner so will hopefully chime in with more info ;)

Was it this one? If so, I drive a bit with the owner and its a very nice truck. 3 link front end with Maxidrive portals and I think 37" Claws.

John Davis sells kits or complete bushies. He developed the bushranger from some dakar 4x4 kits that he imported from UK.

Fibre glass done right is in some ways stronger than steel but not as flexable and you always could have a tubular frame built in aswell for added safety.
I like those Bushrangies but wouldnt suit what I do.

they are done by a mob north of sydney, Ive seen them being built, by hand, first hand they had a 6x6 I was looking at trading my wrx in on but the 6x6 they had had a smashed firewall and would have left me vehicle less when I couldnt of afforded to be.

i remember that civy 6x6, ex fire truck i think. It was there in 01 when i got my bushy shell from them and it was all overgrown with weeds. it had very low kms on it too. how much were they asking for it?
