Hey all,

Im going to look at a 2000 TD5 110 this week, any pointers as to wat to look out for? where to look for rust? wat sounds to listen out for? ect.

I just ordered two personalised stickers so i thought i should get a truck to put em on. I dont wanna get a dud cause i reckon they will be hard to peel back off :p

Thanks,

theres a bucket load of things to check...

for rust get up and around the firewall near the door hinges, the vent flap mounts, the spots where the pedal towers mount up, check the chassis where its got the bends and anywhere that a bent section is welded onto the main chassis frame (the locating arms mounting plates are a good example) as these are the areas that will trap road grime+ moisture which promotes rust.

other than that its a case of looking for bends dings and other damage along with loose components or fixings, Taking to all the suspension joints with a big screw driver is almost always worth the effort.

propshafts for play and bounce test the shockies.

FWIW where are you at, there might be someone close by who might be able to help out.

I have a feeling any used 110 will be a sad reflection on Dullbirds.:whistling:

Hey Pedro,

Are you suggesting that AzzA simply shouldn't have given back DB's 110 after Cooma?! ;):p

:D
