Fitted the traxide SC80 last week with a 95ah deep cycle in the drivers rear bin of my Disco last week in preperation for our easter trip to the Otways. We bought the new new Engel 40l and were keen to see how camping would be without having to fish the cold meat and salad out of the esky ice water:p

I wired in the system with 2 new accessory plugs, new rear LED strip light, an 8 way fuse board and 2 digital volt meters mounted above the sun visor so i can keep an eye on what both my batteries are doing.

Pics will follow, but i just wanted to comment that the SC80 has been great and definately seems to be doing exactly what it is supposed to. A great product and very easy to install.

Cheers,
Phill

Sounds great Phill.

I have pretty well much the same setup and the location of the battery is just fantastic. All out of the way stored in the bin and all hidden from prying eyes

What digital guages do you have and where have you positioned them apart from 'in the visor'? Would you have the supplier, part number...ect?

Cheers.

I got the digital volmeters from "The 12 Volt Shop" on Sydney road (Hume Hwy) in Somerton?Cambellfield. Don't have a part no. but they were $50 each. I mounted them on a plastic cover which i screwed to the front of the "map pocket" above the drivers side sun visor.
I'll post some pics when i've got some time.

Why did you get the SC-80 and not the SC-40?

I've also included wiring from the Aux Battery to a an anderson plug at the rear. We're planning to invest in a camper trailer at some stage and will need to charge another battery in the camper.
